Thank you man, I was laying in bed thinking about wanting to get started with this stuff. Two videos later I have ghetto Dino jump. Wouldn’t have been able to do it if it weren’t for you. Hopefully this is the start to something fun I’ve wanted to get into this stuff for a while but wasn’t sure how. Now I’ve got resources :)
i did a game on unity without coding, its a shitty game but i did it
The start from scratch "litterally" got me to subscribe immediately
I actually used Scratch at my highschool. I have a class that teaches Coding, there was a minecraft one which was fun but Scratch for me is VERY boring, and I HATED the Tutorials I had to do on there. But I seen Iron Lung, Squirrel Stapler (Same Dev) And I was like, "I WANNA DO THAT!" And then you recommended Scratch and my dreams fell apart lol But yes It's important to get the basics down first, I really thought Unreal engine was an easy engine to learn 💀💀💀
I still don’t get it what your saying but I still wanna make my game can u give me a easy way to explain me how to do it
what about people who want to make games without engines? I want to make a game in c++ using a game library instead. Is it easier, harder, is it stronger or weaker? I thought you would explain that
There's also a 3D alternative called Smile Game Builder by Smile Boom, but you're probably better off buying the newest version which is just called Bakin.
Tbh i learned to make games alone in Unity in 3 days
by the time i watched this video i already knew how to use scratch yippie i get to skip a step
But UE4 doesn't require knowing how to make code but undertanding code helps you to make games in ue4 without code.
My scratch game was so fun and easy the one I made years ago was also stupid.
Binzu!!!

I will watch to the end untill i will make a game
My first step to game making was modding, specifically 2D pixel games like risk of rain and YOMI hustle. Had to learn the basics on godot engine but once I understood frame counts, hit boxes and movement it was easy
I bought RPG Maker VX Ace today, (It was on sale for 7 USD, and i was thinking i would try to make a game, so thanks for the video!
rpg maker works like crap if you put your game on console
Bro where you are....waiting next video about videogames pls
don't worry im working on a big one

What is the best basic engine for a card game based on question-answers mechanism? Because I need to upload databases - questions and answers. Thxxxx
My dream game is an Undertale/Deltarune-like game where you make choices in a pixel world. It's about a 20 something guy named Preston, and everything is going wrong for him. He was fired from his job, he was evicted from his apartment, and his parents just died. The only upside was that he was an only child and inherited his parents' house, and while looking through his old room, he was searching the closet and fell into a fantasy dark world type of setting, and is greeted by his childhood imaginary friend and goes on an adventure to rid that world of his childhood nightmares. As the game goes on, we find out that the nightmares (The bosses) are actually other imaginary friends of Preston and after every time you beat a boss (Free one of the nightmares), your imaginary friend asks if you're okay, and you're greeted with two options, say yes or no. If you answer yes, it'll be lying, and if you keep lying to yourself, Preston breaks down at the end, choosing his own dialog options as he lets out every piece of emotion he has, having an emotional breakdown, all because he has to leave at the end. Preston wants to stay, but his imaginary friend knows that if he does stay, he'll just be avoiding his problems. The more you refuse to leave, the more out of control Preston's emotions get. If you made the right choices, your imaginary friend reassures you and you leave, being back in the real world, Preston smiles and lets his life go on. In the bad ending, Preston stays in the imaginary world and basically destroys everything to escape reality, where he goes missing in the real world. The message of the game would be about working through your problems while accepting the bad things that happen. To anyone who reads this, what do you think?
How to make your dream game Step 1: go straight to unity and make chatgpt write all of the scripts for you. Step 2: publish your game. Just kidding please don't do this
Last year, at my school, they FORCED us to use scratch, so I realized I already know that (I have a scratch book in Swedish, given by my school)
yes
erm what the sigma
What about the RAGE engine ? Where does it stands among unity and unreal ?
XD each time a coder says you need to start from scratch i always think about scratch
I personally don't think many of my projects are good, and I'm usually very overambitious, but whenever I get others to play my games they say no matter how much of a joke they are or how bad I think they are they are insanely impressive. I think a lot of this comes down to the fact that (so far) every game I've made has been done in TurboWarp (a mod of Scratch) and people think that I really have pushed the boundaries of what is capable in such a simple engine. For the longest time I wanted to ONLY do things in this engine, and still somewhat do, but every once and a while I'll have a really good game idea and wonder if it would be best to go up to a slightly bigger engine. Just know to anyone who makes or wants to make games, everything starts somewhere. I personally have used Tutorials in the past and as I'm watching take notes on what I THINK is happening. This has allowed me to use knowledge from those tutorials and put my own spin on it while still understanding what is going on. Anyways enough of the big comment, great video! Will for sure take some of these things into account going forward, and who knows, maybe I'll have my own fully fledged game on Steam within the next few years.
Can of beans, how I art, music, and animation?????!??!?!?!??!??!?!?!
No i want to make a fighting game
What about pygame
when you said dont use unity my dreams got crushed and i lost hope so fast
fake
Are you sure
THE METROID GAME LOOKS SO SICK!!!!
But he forgot to mention one in this one is which let’s stop X it’s the most simple one by four and it’s also 3-D but there’s not much videos about it and no popular games I’ve been made about it, but it is a good beginner
the "makes complicated thing even more complicated" kinda kills it for me. i use godot to make my games and i think it's simple enough.
as a beginner it was really helpful and simple. Thanks a lot❤
7:12 did you meant BIG FOUR: Unity Unreal Godot Source
Who likes source engine?
bro you've commented three times about the source engine💀💀💀
@@BinzuDev ok
@@BinzuDev and what's the problem it's very good Valve uses it
@@Pls2M no I know I just thought it was funny lol
@@BinzuDev and it's simple too the source engine was used to create : CS:GO CS:Source Half-Life 2 it's a very good engine as i see it's programming language is LUA and that is the only problem but if you ignore that it's very good actually
Honestly, my dream game idea (and I'm sharing it cause I don't have to be the one to make it) is a world generator based on Civilization. The player could pick between a first person or third person view and would be able to run around the world as it is generated in real time around them. The player could effect the development of each nation by helping or hurting them.
This video was EXTREMLEY helpful!!! Thanks so much!!!
7:54 Beautiful. 🗿
Bro RPG maker fr like thats exactly what im looking for ;-;. nvm its not free
I wanted to make a card based game adventure, can I do it with RPG Maker XP?
what kiind of scratcch
I suggest to beginner game devs watching tutorials to take notes on everything you don't understand and to do your own research on each new lesson and step. That is currently my problem when watching game dev tutorials. I can follow along due to some coding experience, but when it comes to understanding what I'm following, it doesn't really register with me. I do better with game design honestly, but that's apples and oranges.
Ye
increasingly complicated games is what I done
Thank you for this video. This will help me for making games a LOT!
